Born from their profound love for food, Simone &
Richard Hirsch decided to publish their first cookbook, titled His &
Hirsch's. The cookbook draws some inspiration from Zanzibar, where the
couple got engaged. The sophisticated recipes are simple and stylish,
perfect for the young, professional couple that loves cooking great food.
The launch of the cookbook, held at the ECR House & Garden
Show 2013, was a gastronomic affair, filled with delectable dishes prepared
from the
cookbook. In collaboration with Ramola Makan,
author of five cookbooks,
including the world's first cookbook on Indian Microwave
cooking the couple prepared their favourite recipes from the book in front of
excited show goers. On the menu was Italian Fillet, Prawn & Penne
Pasta and Simone's Zanzibar Aubergines.
An interactive kitchen was set up in the ELBA stand and
as the couple was cooking and show goers had the opportunity to see them live
in action as they demonstrated and shared the inspiration and stories behind
the recipes.
Tasters were handed out and everyone that gathered around
the stand learnt something new about easy, fuss free cooking.
